Thanks to the support of our community, Bike Newport continues to make meaningful progress on Aquidneck Island and beyond.
Together we:
- Expanded bicycle safety education into all three island school districts.
- Updated local bicycle ordinances in partnership with Newport Police to better support safe riding.
- Became a leader in e-bike education and policy as ridership continues to grow.
- Advanced demonstration bicycle infrastructure projects in key transportation corridors.
- Supported feasibility studies to improve bicycle and pedestrian access to the island’s bridges and rail corridor.
- Partnered with dozens of local businesses, organizations, and events through our growing Get There By Bike initiative.
