Bike Newport is proud to partner with Health Equity Zone’s “Movies in Miantonomi”. Ditch the car and join the community for free outdoor movies on July 10th and August 7th at 8pm and September 11th and October 9th at 7pm. In doing so, you are decreasing traffic congestion, parking stresses, and contributing to a more healthy, sustainable community. Don’t forget to come early and meet the community organizations staffing the movie nights!

Coming from out of town? No problem. You can park and leave your car anywhere in Newport where long-term parking is permitted (be sure to check signs for restrictions), or you can head straight to Newport’s designated Park & Bike lots. See the routes below!

Helpful Tips for biking to Miantonomi Park
- Bring LIGHTS, a LOCK, and a HELMET.
- Ride carefully, follow rules of the road, pay extra attention to motorists, and give yourself time to get there safely.
- Newport is known for its history and beauty – less so for the condition of the roads. Watch for pot holes and ruts!
