newportFILM Outdoors is showing great films all summer long

NEXT UP:

Thursday, July 9th @ The Elms
Doors open: 6pm
Film starts: 8:30pm

PLANNING YOUR ROUTE:

You can plan your route using your local knowledge, your favorite bike GPS, or a recommended route shown here. Keep in mind that Newport has MANY one way streets, so your route GOING may be different from your RETURN route. Be sure to have a bright headlight and a flashing rear light for your return trip after dark. See and be seen!

PARK & BIKE:

Coming from out of town? You can park and leave your car anywhere in Newport where long-term parking is permitted (be sure to check signs for restrictions), or you can head straight to “Park & Bike” lots located right off the Pell Bridge and at Newport County YMCA.

Routes to The Elms:
Check this page each week for updated routes to each film location.

Park & Bike to The Elms – 2.1 miles ~ 10 minutes

YMCA to The Elms – 2.6 miles ~ 15 minutes

This map is to orient you to the location of the venue in Newport in
relation to the Park & Bike lots. Please use these GPS links or your own for navigation.

HELPFUL TIPS for biking to newportFILM:

  • Expect heavy traffic on Newport’s streets. Ride carefully, follow rules of the road, pay extra attention to motorists, and give yourself time to get there safely.
  • Bring LIGHTS, a LOCK, and a HELMET. After dark; your lights will make you SAFE and VISIBLE.
  • Newport is known for its history and beauty – less so for the condition of the roads. Watch for pot holes and ruts!
  • If you would like to support Bike Newport’s vital nonprofit community work, you can donate HERE. Many thanks!
