Bike to the Beach creates awareness and raises funds to support advocacy efforts and programs that benefit real people in our community.
Team Bike Newport will be riding the 2026 Bike To The Beach Metric Century (62 miles = 100 km) from Woonsocket to the finish at Sachuest Beach in Middletown. Where else but L’il Rhody can you ride the whole length of the state in time for lunch?!
Last year our team raised $15,000! With your help, we will raise even more.

How You Can Help
There are two great ways you can support our fundraising for local kids:
Donate to our Team or Ride with us
Donate to Our Team
Every dollar you contribute to anyone on Team Bike Newport directly supports Bike Newport’s education programs and equipment for some super special kids who love coming to Bike Newport!
Bike Newport provides bike education programs for local children on the autism spectrum and with a range of developmental and cognitive challenges. They tell us that coming to Bike Newport every week is what they love best!
Supporting local autism non-profit organizations through Bike to the Beach is a direct contribution to the local autism and disability community. Autism, the second most prevalent developmental disability worldwide, receives less federal funding than any other child-affecting disorder.
And the Bike Newport Team raises funds for our programs right here at home!

Ride with Us!
Join our team! There’s only one state where you can ride the whole state in time for lunch – ok, a late lunch! Come ride Rhode Island with us and have great fun while you support our awesome educational programs for kids with autism.

• Go to our team page
• Click “Join Team.” Make sure to select “Team Bike Newport.”
Each team member raises funds from family, friends, co-workers and others to make their $500 (or more!) fundraising goal. We can help coordinate carpooling to the 8:00 am start in Woonsocket.
Together we’ll make a significant contribution to Bike Newport’s programs for students with autism including group rides with adaptive trikes from Bike-On and hands-on learning in our Bike Garage.

Your donation supports our team & programs for people with autism
