Coming from out of town? No problem. You can park and leave your car anywhere in Newport where long-term parking is permitted (be sure to check signs for restrictions), or you can head straight to Amica Newport Marathon’s dedicated runner lots at Second Beach or the Aquidneck Corporate Park and bike in from there. Additionally, you can check out more general Park and Ride information HERE. See the routes below!

Park and Ride to Fort Adams – 3.6 miles ~ 15 minutes

YMCA to Fort Adams – 5.1 miles ~ 20 minutes

Helpful Tips for biking to the Newport 10 Miler

  • Bring LIGHTS, a LOCK, and a HELMET.
  • Ride carefully, follow rules of the road, pay extra attention to motorists, and give yourself time to get there safely.
  • Newport is known for its history and beauty – less so for the condition of the roads. Watch for pot holes and ruts!
