Bike to Work Day Posters Feature Prominent Newporters on their Bicycles

May 6, 2011

A number of prominent Newporters are helping to promote Newport’s May 20th Bike to Work Day and Bike Fair by jumping on their own bicycles to encourage bicycling as an alternative to the car, and to model the smarts of safe cycling themselves.

So far, the poster series, which will grace the doors and windows of area businesses, includes five cycling role models – with more to come. Watch the shop windows of Newport and check back here often!

THANKS to all the photo subjects, to local photographers Kelly McCann and Jason Evans, and to designer Jackie Buster – all providing their time and talents free of charge to benefit their Newport community!
