New Fall Plan for the RI Bridge Bike Shuttle!

August 30, 2018

In order to optimize the RI Bridge Bike Shuttle we’ve now made it even easier
to cross the Pell and Verrazano Bridges with your bikes.

Since it’s inception on June 30th, the RI Bridge Bike Shuttle has been a great way to get across the bridges with your bike. Many people have enjoyed rides in Jamestown, Wickford and North Kingstown without the need to use their car to do so. Feedback has been really positive and with some suggestions for improvements we have looked at how the bike shuttle could be more flexible.

So now, reservations are no longer needed!

Simply call 401-430-0420 • Saturdays between 11-4:30pm (thru October 13th)

You can call before you get to the departure points* or once you arrive.

The bus will be going back and forth across the bridges at your request so the longest you’d have to wait, if you called at the departure point*, is 30 minutes. With room for up to 5 riders and bikes, what are you waiting for?

BARNUM FINANCIAL GROUP WATER BOTTLES FOR ALL RIDERS WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Thanks to a host of generous bike-friendly local businesses and agencies, interested in getting you where you’re going –  RI Turnpike and Bridge Authority, Discover Newport, YMCA, Preservation Society of Newport County, Reynolds DeWalt, Standard Modern Company, VHB, Barnum Financial Group, AAA NorthEast, Newport Restaurant Group and People’s Credit Union  – the shuttle service is FREE. These businesses understand the economic, tourism, health and environmental benefits of biking – and of happy bicyclists – thanks to all!

*Departure points remain the same: North Kingstown – Park & Ride Rte 138 & 1A /Jamestown – RITBA Office, 1 East Shore Road / Newport – Newport Bridge Antiques/29 JT Connell Hwy
