July 18: Bike Ride to Ocean Hour Farm Tour

Join us for this awesome adventure! It’s a dual language (English and Spanish) bike ride and walking tour with Ocean Hour Farm!

Ocean Hour Farm is a living laboratory studying the link between farming and ocean health. Through sustainable land stewardship, our integrated system connects plants, animals, and people to restore soil, clean stormwater, and sequester carbon.

This wonderful tour will be conducted in English and Spanish and is FREE of charge. One caveat – you must be a resident of Aquidneck Island – because this is a special adventure just for locals!

What you need to know:

  • You need your own bicycle and helmet.
  • If you need to borrow a bicycle, please call Bike Newport at (401) 619-4900. Hay personas en Bike Newport que hablan español.
  • Children 13 and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
  • Please bring a picnic lunch and a refillable water bottle.
  • Tickets are limited, so register right away.

Here’s the schedule:
9:30am: Meet at Bike Newport, 62 Broadway.
10-10:30 Group ride from downtown Newport to Ocean Hour Farm (about 2.5 miles)
10:30-12:30 Ocean Hour Farm Walking Tour and Lunch – please pack a picnic lunch
12:30-1:00 Group ride back to Bike Newport (about 2.5 miles)
