Newport City Council Passes Two Bicycle Resolutions

April 13, 2011

This evening, Newport City Council passed two resolutions related to bicycling in Newport:

1) declaring May 20, 2011, Bike to Work Day in Newport, and

2) calling for a Community Forum to gather resident’s perspectives and ideas, and to share information about the rules of the road for both motorists and bicyclists.

Special thanks to Council members Charlie Duncan, Kate Leonard, Naomi Neville and Jeanne-Marie Napolitano for writing and sponsoring the Resolutions.
