Since it’s inception on June 30th, the RI Bridge Bike Shuttle has been a great way to get across the bridges with your bike. Many people have enjoyed rides in Jamestown, Wickford and North Kingstown without the need to use their car to do so. Feedback has been really positive and with some suggestions for improvements we have looked at how the bike shuttle could be more flexible.
So now, reservations are no longer needed!
Simply call 401-430-0420 • Saturdays between 11-4:30pm (thru October 13th)
You can call before you get to the departure points* or once you arrive.
The bus will be going back and forth across the bridges at your request so the longest you’d have to wait, if you called at the departure point*, is 30 minutes. With room for up to 5 riders and bikes, what are you waiting for?

Eric Offenberg, Director of Engineering at RITBA, explained, “If you want to ride around Jamestown and then continue on to Narragansett, or you want to come to Jamestown and continue on to Newport, you’ll be able to get across and know you have a way back across the bridges.”
“Whether they’re coming from Connecticut or Key West, whether they’re going to Newport or the Cape or Canada, we want to make sure that our bridges don’t get in the way of cyclists passing through Aquidneck Island,” said Bari Freeman of Bike Newport.
