This favorite Newport summer experience returns on Saturday, August 29th!
On the 10-Spot Ride you’ll pedal around historic Newport, the “City by the Sea”, to ten lovely locations where you’ll sample tasty delicacies and enjoy live music in beautiful private spaces ranging from secret gardens to majestic mansions and seaside splendor.

This year, all participants will meet at “The 10th Spot” for a gorgeous grand finale! We can’t tell you where but we can tell you it’s stunning!!! End the day with the friends you came with and the new ones you made along the way.
⭐️ Special Musical Guest ⭐️
Iconic guitarist, writer, producer, and session artist Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar will join the Indie Rock Band “Leaving Irene”. Danny defined the classic 1970s West Coast rock sound and added a gritty, blues-infused rock edge to masterworks by James Taylor, Carole King, and Jackson Browne while co-writing major hits like Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry” and Jackson Brown’s “Somebody’s Baby.”

Get There By Bike T-shirts celebrate Bike Newport, the many places we can go by bicycle, and the awesome partners who help make it happen!
Here’s how it works:
- Sign up solo or with friends – lots of people ride the 10-Spot Ride together, we’ve had groups as large as 25!
- The 10 Spots stay secret until event day – Past locations have included historic mansions, private gardens, downtown inns, waterfront properties, arboreta, and even a tall ship.
- You’ll get your Starting Spot the day before via email – Check in here to receive your guidebook, commemorative cup, reusable utensils, and QR-coded route map. Enjoy your first taste and live music while planning your route.
- Check in starts at 10:30 to give you time with the Event Guide and Map. You can check in at your assigned Starting Spot any time from 10:30 on.
- Music and food service begin at 11:00.
- Visit the first 9 Spots from 11am to 3pm. Visit as many of the Spots as you wish in whatever order you choose. There’s plenty of time to spend 15-20 minutes at each Spot, enjoying signature tastes and nonalcoholic sips from local restaurants, live music, and amazing locations thanks to our generous hosts. You’ll pedal on city roads, so be prepared to share the road with cars and other people on bikes.
- “The 10th Spot ” will be open from 1:30 to 4:30. We’re excited this year to bring all participants together at a grand location for a finale of food, music and fun! The 10th Spot will be magnificent and we look forward to seeing you all there!
