What Makes These Kids Smile?
Bike Smiles Happen When Kids Experience Freedom and Confidence
Bike Newport generates lots of bike smiles – by giving kids access to bikes and teaching them how to ride safely – in school, after school, all summer long. Read below to learn more.
Want to generate more smiles?
Mark your calendar for 401 Gives and donate to support our Bike Safety and Education programs for kids. If you want to give TODAY – donate here and we’ll count it towards our 401Gives match.
Did someone say MATCH?
Yes! Three generous Bike Newport supporters are together matching all donations up to $10,000. Greenbridge Foundation, CLEVERHOOD, and another anonymous friend want to inspire you to donate, so the first $10,000 toward 401Gives will be DOUBLED!
Let’s make them proud and trigger the full match. Thank you!
We’ll apply your donation to 401 Gives
THANK YOU!
Your Generous Donation Supports…
In-School Education
Our in-school programs bring bicycle education right to the kids. From 3rd graders learning on-bike skills to high schoolers reducing truancy and improving academic success – bicycling empowers young people to experience independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Summer Camp
Our Summer Bike Camp program delivers a magical experience filled with adventurous fun, supportive camaraderie, expanded horizons, and experiential learning. Thanks to many generous donors like you, we can offer camp free of charge. Many local businesses and nonprofits participate and support the learning experience – leading to adventures, friendships, and memories that last a lifetime.

Making Bicycling Accessible
Bike Newport excels at collecting and restoring bicycles and distributing them all over the community so everyone has access to biking. Our Bike Library and Bike Giveaways connect kids with bikes they can love and grow with. Young people and adults help out in our Community Bike Garage to earn and borrow bikes at the Bike Library for hours of play time at our Big Blue Bike Barn campus – on park trails, the Pump Track and Traffic Garden.

Along with generous individuals like you, many businesses support our education programs. Here are our campers decked out in ponchos donated by Cleverhood – ensuring that a little rain doesn’t get in the ways of Summer Bike Camp fun!
Every day our campers dine on lunches from local restaurants like Diegos’s, Cru Cafe, Wharf Southern Kitchen, The Quencher, and Mother Pizzeria.
Together we’re bringing lots of bike smiles to lots of kids – thanks for supporting Bicycle Education programs!
