Jim’s introduction to Bike Newport came as a participant in the 10-Spot Ride, well before he moved to the City by the Sea. In that time when Jim rode regularly on the multi-use paths and streets of the DC region, he learned of Bike Newport’s efforts to make bicycles, bike safety and fun available for all children regardless of their family’s financial ability to contribute.
“I am proud to be a part of the work to make Newport’s streets more welcoming for everyone in our community,” says Jim.
As a journalist, Jim covered transportation issues “when the car was king and bikes were an afterthought.” He hopes to help Bike Newport advocate for safer streets for children and adults.
