Biking has always meant independence and adventure for me - whether riding to the store or along the Potomac in DC where I live part-time. Falling off my bike and breaking my teeth when I was 8 years old didn’t deter me! In fact I went on to become the first papergirl in my neighborhood - and biking still makes me feel like a kid.
Focusing on bike safety education and infrastructure and reducing car traffic to improve air quality and quality of life for all is worth fighting for. I’ve been involved in improving lives in my community for decades, and I’m grateful to be working with Bike Newport to help people of all backgrounds and ages as I make Newport my year-round home.
