Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival, October 18th and 19th, 11am-6pm
The Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival is proud to partner with Bike Newport and the “Get There By Bike” initiative to provide high capacity bike racks, maps, routes, and information for this event. Leave your car outside of Newport, skip the parking hassles, and bike to the 34th Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival! In doing so, you are decreasing traffic congestion, carbon emissions, and contributing to a more sustainable, healthy community.

Bike parking for the Bowen’s Wharf Sea Food Festival is located on the north side of Market Square, across from the Seamen’s Church Institute. There are additional bike racks located on America’s Cup and in Queen Ann’s Square, but they tend to fill up quickly. Check out these routes from Newport’s designated Park & Bike lots.

Helpful Tips for biking to Bowen’s Wharf
- Bring LIGHTS, a LOCK, and a HELMET. Your lights will make you SAFE and VISIBLE.
- Ride carefully, follow rules of the road, pay extra attention to motorists, and give yourself time to get there safely.
- Newport is known for its history and beauty – less so for the condition of the roads. Watch for pot holes and ruts!
