The power of the sun is bringing exciting improvements to Bike Newport’s Big Blue Bike Barn campus!
We now have lights and cooling fans, computers, internet, and charging stations in the containers for all of our Summer Camp and year-round community education programs. Outdoor lights mean evening programs and community gatherings. Sustainable power all year-round will provide our neighbors with comfort, opportunity, and connection in this vibrant public space. The benefits of the Big Blue Bike Barn campus keep growing – thanks to the incredible collaborative and caring community of Newport.

The Newport Housing Authority` provides the land for Bike Newport to create the vibrant public space that we call the Big Blue Barn.
The City of Newport supports all efforts to provide and maintain the entire Big Blue Bike Barn campus and connections with Miantonomi Park .
The Newport Health Equity Zone , International Tennis Hall of Fame, 11th Hour Racing, and A1 Roofing and Construction funded this important community sustainability project .
A1 Roofing and Construction, Aquidneck Business Connections, Beacon Solar, AQ Tech generously donated time, labor and equipment to make sure we made it to the finish line with the best high-quality setup possible.
