Bike Newport Volunteers to Assist on the PELL BRIDGE RUN

November 3, 2011

In case you’ve been sleeping – there’s going to be a BRIDGE RUN!! across the Newport Pell Bridge on Sunday, November 13. The first time in DECADES.  This is where we get out of your cars and onto our beautiful bridge and support numerous local nonprofits in the process.  THANKS to the Bike Newport volunteers who will be helping to keep the runners safe and on course.

The Inaugural Citizens Bank Newport Pell Bridge Run is a 4.2 mile run across the Newport/Pell Bridge at 6:30 a.m. on November 13, 2011. The Veteran’s Day Weekend race will benefit Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, Meeting Street, Special Olympics Rhode Island and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

There’s still time to REGISTER.  Here’s the website. Here’s the registration page.  Don’t miss this great opportunity. Hopefully the first of many more chances to cross the bridge in the open air!
