Tips for biking to THoF events
- Bring LIGHTS, a LOCK, and a HELMET. After dark; your lights will make you SAFE and VISIBLE.
- Expect heavy traffic on Newport’s streets. Ride carefully, follow rules of the road, pay extra attention to motorists, and give yourself time to get there safely.
- Newport is known for its history and beauty – but not so much for the condition of the roads. Watch for pot holes and ruts!
- There is no charge to park your bike at the event, though donations are welcome and encouraged! Your donations support Bike Newport’s vital nonprofit community work.

PARK & BIKE:
Coming from out of town? No problem. You can park and leave your car anywhere in Newport where long-term parking is permitted (be sure to check signs for restrictions), or you can head straight to “Park & Bike” lots located right off the Pell Bridge and at Newport County YMCA. Please see maps below.
- Bicycle route from YMCA to Inernational Tennis Hall of Fame – 2.1 miles
- Bicycle route from Pell Bridge Lot to International Tennis Hall of Fame – 1.7 miles
- Bicycle route from CCRI to International Tennis Hall of Fame – 2.9 miles
- Bicycle route from Gateway Center to International Tennis Hall of Fame – 1 mile
