Holiday Bike Giveaway 2025 ❤️

On Saturday, December ^6th, we welcomed dozens of children and families to our Big Blue Bike Barn for our annual Holiday Bike Giveaway. This is truly one of our favorite days of the year!

Lovingly restored bikes were matched with elementary school children, bringing real joy to this season of giving. For some kids, it will be their first bike ever. For others, it will mean the freedom to ride to school, visit friends, or explore their neighborhood. A bicycle is more than a gift—it’s independence, confidence, and pure fun.

Our volunteers poured themselves into every detail—fixing flats, polishing frames, checking brakes—because they know a donated bike becomes something powerful when it lands in the hands of a young rider ready to explore. What starts as a simple act of generosity grows into a moment of joy and possibility.

In just one day, 85 bicycles were matched with 85 delighted children. Every child left with a helmet, blinky lights, and a fun fact chat about bike safety with their adult family member.

Thanks to all of our incredible volunteers and supporters for making the Holiday Bike Giveaway possible. Thanks to Newport Public Schools for being our partner in reaching out to the students and their families. Special appreciation to Ocean State Charities Trust, NewportFed, and Southcoast Health for generously funding the event and the equipment that makes it shine.
