The Newport Pride Ride
The Newport Pride Ride is an fun bike parade that winds its way through the picturesque streets of Newport. As the parade starts and concludes at the iconic Great Friends Meeting House, participants can soak in the history and beauty of this charming location. The ride is designed to be inclusive and accessible to people of all ages and abilities, ensuring everyone can participate in the celebration.
Roller skates, tricycles, and skateboards are all welcome! Grab some friends and join us, in partnership with Newport Pride, for the super fun annual Newport Pride Bike Parade 🏳️🌈 🚲 on Saturday, June 29th at 11 am. This easy 3.5-mile bike parade around Newport starts and concludes at the Great Friends Meeting House (21 Farewell St) in time for the Pride Festival from 12 – 6 pm! 🏳️🌈 🚲
Participating in the Newport Pride Ride
Participating in the Newport Pride Ride is easy – people of all biking and rolling skills and styles are welcome to join! Grab your bike, skates, or board, invite your friends and family, and be at the Great Friends Meeting House on June 24th before the 11am start. The Newport Pride Ride is not just about cycling; it’s a celebration of love, pride, and unity. The event encourages and welcomes participants to express themselves through colorful decorations, costumes, and rainbow flags. The joyful atmosphere is contagious as individuals and groups unite to support the LGBTQ+ community and promote acceptance and understanding. After the ride, stay on for the Newport Pride Festival and Market, which goes on till 6pm!
