I have been involved with Bike Newport for over 5 years and have found it to be one of my favorite organizations to support. I enjoy riding, and am an active member of the Newport Chapter of Black Girls Do Bike. I am newly retired from over 23 years as a Senior Auditor for the Office of Inspector General (OIG) whose mission is to ensure the health and welfare of the people they serve. During my time with the OIG, I received several awards including the prestigious “Alexander Hamilton Award” in recognition of comprehensive and multifaceted oversight that improved the safety and wellbeing of migrant children in custody of the Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to joining the OIG, I spent many years working in both public and private sectors in the Accounting and Healthcare fields.
