As a child, Paige’s favorite afterschool activity was biking around the neighborhood with friends or her dad. She landed in Newport for a job in 2015 and started pedicabbing to get to know the local community, quickly making connections with Bike Newport. Some of her favorite memories are on two (or three) wheels. Currently the Director of Climate Resilience at the Aquidneck Island Land Trust, Paige’s perspective on biking has shifted from purely recreational enjoyment, to realizing the critical role bike and pedestrian infrastructure plays in building a resilient community, and getting people from place to place safely, whether it is for work or play. Aside from the Ocean Drive Loop, her favorite place to bike is in her home state of Massachusetts on the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
