Our full-time Communications Manager will help more people to choose biking for transportation and recreation – by elevating Bike Newport’s efforts and by ensuring our initiatives are visible, enticing, and accessible. This new member of our team will be a skilled writer experienced in communications and advocacy, will bring a representative lens to our work to help ensure racial equity, will know and love bicycles as a transportation and social solution, will want to engage people in bicycle friendly progress, and will be experienced in using social media and other communications to achieve these goals. Command of Spanish is a highly desirable skill for this position.

Our Development Officer will help to steward our donor relations – both existing and new prospects. The ability to clearly communicate Bike Newport’s mission, history and programs is key. Our Development Officer will think and act strategically, energize team members, engage donors, and persevere to meet our fundraising goals using knowledge and creativity. In addition to donor management, our Development Officer may use their skills to assist with our development calendar, grant writing, event planning, and business partner relations. This position may be full-time, or part-time depending on the hire’s unique expertise.
