The recent Washington Square Community Charrette was led by Dan Burden, Exec Director of the Walkable Livable Communities Institute. He made a strong point of recommending reverse diagonal parking and cited the numerous safety benefits and reduced risk for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. He identifies reverse diagonal parking as a primary method of achieving Complete Streets.
