ELLIOT’S RIDE FOR EVERYONE SHUTTLE BUS
Sunday June 10th • 9-1pm • Fort Adams
The goal of Elliot’s Ride for Everyone is to bring together people of every walk of life, every style of biking, and every level of experience and comfort – to ride together along the ocean coastline with a spotlight on safe, comfortable, and confident sharing of our roads by all road users.
This year riders can choose between routes of 6, 10 and 22 miles. Bike Newport marshals will support all rides and the Newport Police will provide escort along the 6-mile route to keep the everyone rolling safely and smoothly. There will also be a kids Tour de Fort inside the fort walls and a 2 mile bay walk loop.
Don’t have a bike? No problem. We’ll have a fleet of bikes for you to borrow (first come, first served), just hop on the bus and ride when you get there! Or come to Bike Newport’s Bike Garage – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:30-7:00pm, and Sat 1-4pm – and Adopt-A-Bike or Earn-A-Bike before the event on June 10th.
Don’t have a way to get to Fort Adams? No problem. Take our event shuttle! A shuttle bus and and van will pick up at several locations around town and will carry you and your bike to Fort Adams and back again after the event thanks to Durham School Services.
Park right at the event – lots of parking is available at Fort Adams and feel free to park anywhere in Newport where long-term parking is permitted – be sure to check signs for restrictions. Or, you can head straight to our dedicated “Park n’ Bike” lot:
Note: there are NOT bikes for rent at the Park n’ Bike lots. To rent a bike in Newport, check out our listing of local bike shops.
