This favorite Newport summer experience returns on Saturday, August 23rd!
On the 10-Spot Ride you’ll pedal around historic Newport, the “City by the Sea”, to ten lovely locations where you’ll sample tasty delicacies and enjoy live music in beautiful private spaces ranging from secret gardens to majestic mansions and seaside splendor.
All proceeds from the 10-Spot Ride support Bike Newport’s mission to ensure that bicycling is a viable, safe, and comfortable primary choice for transportation and recreation. Learn more about Bike Newport’s many programs by signing up to the newsletter.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday, March 1st:
- First week only at the extra early bird price of $140 per person.
- March 8-31, tickets will be available at last year’s price of $150.
- On April 1, the 2025 price of $175 per person will go into effect, until the limited 300 event tickets are sold.

Here’s how it works:
- Sign up solo or with your friends – lots of people ride the 10-Spot Ride together, we’ve had groups as large as 25!
- The day before the event, you’ll receive your “Starting Spot” by email – This is where you will go to check in, receive your guide book for the day, your commemorative cup, and reusable utensils. On site, a map with QR-coded bike route suggestions will show you the “10 Spots.” You can plan your day while enjoying the first of your delectables tastes and sips, and enjoying the live music performances.
- The event runs from 11am to 4pm, with a check-in starting at 10:30am to give you a little extra time to make your plan. You can check in at any time, visit as many of the 10 Spots as you wish, in whatever order you choose. Each Spot features signature tastes and sips (nonalcoholic) from local restaurants, music by local artists, and the generosity of our location hosts. You’ll pedal to all of the Spots on city roads, so be prepared to share the road with cars and other people on bikes.
- The 10 Spots are kept secret until the day of the event! Past “Spots” have included iconic mansions, private arboreta, lovely downtown inns, classic colonials, stunning expansive waterfronts, secret gardens, … even a tall ship.
