ACTION ALERT: STIP Projects on Aquidneck Island and Statewide

The public comment period for the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) ends on July 30th. This is your chance to share your opinion regarding which active transportation projects will be funded in this program – in all towns and cities across the state!

According to the State of Rhode Island Division of Statewide Planning:
“The STIP is a list of transportation projects the State of Rhode Island intends to implement using United States Department of Transportation funds. For a transportation project to utilize federal funds it must be included in the STIP.”

Click through for an easy-to-read summary document that presents the list of projects included in the draft STIP for Aquidneck Island, along with links to the full draft STIP document, the eSTIP viewer (a map view of all projects), and the public comment portal. Use this document to see what changes are coming to your community and to easily navigate to the STIP resources.
