All Month: Get your tickets for the 2026 10-Spot Ride on August 29th

Pedal Newport’s scenic gems in this can’t-miss summer event! You’ll visit ten lovely locations where you’ll sample tasty delicacies and enjoy live music in beautiful private spaces ranging from secret gardens to majestic mansions and seaside splendor. All proceeds from the 10-Spot Ride support our efforts to ensure more, better, and safer biking across Aquidneck Island.
All Month: Community Bike Garage

Stop by the Community Bike Garage any weekday and work with our skilled mechanics and volunteers to learn how to fix it yourself – to maintain your bike and help restore bikes for our community! The Community Bike Garage, supported by People’s Credit Union, is a welcoming place to learn new skills, connect with fellow riders, volunteer, and get your bike in shape for summer miles.

We ❤️ newportFILM for encouraging folks to bike to the summer series! Bike racks are provided at the entrance to every film. July dates are: July 2, 9, 15, 23, 30. Check out the full summer schedule and bike over!
Friday July 3rd – Sunday July 5th: Fourth of July Activities

There’s so much happening around town! Why sit in traffic when you can Get There By Bike? Check out these bike-friendly activities to celebrate the 4th.
Saturday July 4th: Bike to the AC Newport Match

See Newport’s new elite soccer club in action — and get in free when you Get There By Bike! Thanks to AC Newport for supporting more sustainable transportation around Aquidneck Island.
Sunday July 5th – Tuesday July 7th: Cerity Partners Hall of Fame Open

Saturday July 11th – Sunday July 12th: Bike to the Newport Kite Festival

From spectacular kite displays to family-friendly activities to music and food, the Newport Kite Festival is the perfect way to spend a summer day. Bike parking for the Newport Kite Festival is located near parking lots at Brenton Point. Look for the Get There By Bike Flag!
Friday July 24th – Sunday July 26th: Bike to the Newport Folk Festival
Friday July 31st – Sunday August 2nd: Bike to the Newport Jazz Festival

Join the hundreds of people who bike to the festivals – bypassing traffic and catching the salty sea breeze all the way – right up to the premium bike parking at Fort Adams. Coming in from out of town? No problem! Park at one the conveniently located Park & Bike lots and pedal past the traffic to Fort Adams! Stay tuned for details and route maps!
Wednesday July 29th: Full Moon Ride

Join us for July’s Full Moon Ride as we roll together under the Buck Moon. These rides are a monthly community favorite sponsored by AARP-RI — the pace is patient, nobody gets left behind, and participants often gather at the finish for food and libations.
